Finite Element Modelling and Structural 3d Static of the Mechanical Behavior of Dry Contacts Slipping Between the Disc and the Brake Pads
Abstract: The aim of this contribution is to present a study based on the determination of the structural deformations due to the contact of slipping between the disc and the pads. The results of contact described in this work relate to displacements, Von Mises stress and contact pressures of the pad at various moments of simulation. One precedes then the influence of some parameters on the computation results such as rotation …

Numerical Study of Vibration Stress and Deformation of Rotating Fan Blade of a Gas Turbine
Abstract: The vibration stress caused by resonance is the main cause of failure in aircraft engine blades. The study is aimed at investigating the vibration stress of a single-stage fan blade influenced by the interaction of aerodynamic and structural behavior at multiple critical speeds. A three-dimensional finite element model of the blade was developed for the simulation of vibration stress and its subsequent effects. The blade was verified by modal test. …

Wheelchair Design Analysis by Using Ethnographic Research
Abstract: This work focuses on benefits of introducing ethnographic research into specifically design engineering field. Ethnographic research is an emerging branch of research which uses scientific techniques like anthropology and sociology. Ethnographic research is done through participant observations and field work [5]. In ethnographic study, minds of people or groups of people are studied. Such method of research can be very useful in analyzing the reliability of a design of engineering …

Weight Optimization of Motorcycle Frame by Finite Element Analysis
Abstract: Frame is one of the main components of the two-wheeler vehicle. All the important accessories of the two-wheeler are mounted on the frame. It is subjected to various types of loads which could affect the life of the frame. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the motorcycle frame for various parameters such as thickness, materials and loading conditions. The optimization of design is very difficult and the effect is little …

Modeling, Analysis and Vibrational Behaviour of A Steam Turbine Blade
Abstract: In this research work, the 2nd LP stage of 250MW steam turbine that having 102 blades is considered and blade geometry for various cross-sections had developed with inputs given as co-ordinates which is from blade root to tip of the portion by using UNIGRAPHICS. In order to achieve its desired performance for a steam turbine blade, the blade material has to withstand ambient conditions such as loading, temperatures, pressures and, …

Finite Element Modeling for the Development and Evaluation of a Complaint Mechanism
Abstract: This paper presents the design and simulation of a complaint mechanism, emphasizing precision implementation through various studies and principles. The modeling of the complaint mechanism is conducted using CREO software, while both static and dynamic analyses are performed using ANSYS software. Through static analysis involving force considerations, the paper deduces the deflection of motion, noting that the XY structure deformation mirrors the elongation of an S-shaped cantilever beam. Comparative assessments …

An Experimental Pragmatic Observational Study to Evaluate the Efficacy of Nesting on Posture and Physiological Parameters Among Premature Neonates in Tertiary Care Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Delhi/NCR
Abstract: Abstract “Nesting” is a comfort measure that simulates in-utero feeling of lack of space and makes the baby less jittery. Nesting facilitates positioning and deep peaceful nights and contented days, thus conserving energy, minimizing weight loss, and improving the physiological parameters. The present study aims at to evaluate the effectiveness of nesting on posture and physiological parameters among premature babies admitted in NICU. A quasi-experimental research methodology with non-probability purposive …
