Experimental Investigations for Comparing the Effectiveness of Heat Treatment and Cryogenic Treatment on Wear Performance of EN-47 Spring Steel
Abstract: EN-47 spring steel is chromium, vanadium steel which consists of carbon (0.45–0.55%), manganese (0.50–0.80), silicon (0.50%), phosphorus (0.06%), and sulphur (0.06%) along with chromium (0.80–1.20%) and vanadium (0.15%). Due to this composition EN-47 spring steel become harder and tougher. It has a wide range of applications like crankshafts, steering knuckles, gears, spindles, pumps, suspension etc. So, in this experimental study we treated EN-47 spring steel with cryogenic treatment, cryogenic and …

Tensile Strength of Welded Buttly Joints by Different Types of Welding
Abstract: In this study, an experimental method for the selection of optimal welding for joining metals there areseveral methods which they are used for joining metals, that it includes using welding brazing, MetalInert Gas (MIG) Welding and Gas Metal Arc Welding is an arc welding process, in which the weld isshielded by an external gas (Argon, helium, CO2, argon + Oxygen) or other gas mixtures is one of thewidely used techniques …

A Review on Cutting Parameter on Micro Drilling Characteristics of Different Steel
Abstract: Related work revealed that a lot of works have been done on the cryogenic turning of various metals. The tool life significantly increases with the introduction of cryogenic and thermal-assisted machining in the turning operations. The reductions in the heat at tool chip interface have significantly affected on the tooled life. Some research gaps in the literature have been found as: Limited research works have been performed on the cryogenic …

Weldability of Ferrous Metals
Abstract: The weldability of various steels and cast iron were reviewed. Weldability of steel/cast iron refers to the maximum hardness of the HAZ and cold cracking susceptibility of welds. Many researches on weldability of ferrous metals were discussed; research on weldability of high carbon steel and white cast iron are limited. Most researchers inclined to hardness and tensile test of weldment of ferrous metals; researches on creep, fatigue, damping capacity, impact …
