Spectral Analysis of Heart Rate Variability Signals using Stockwell-Transform
Abstract: This paper introduces the use of Stockwell transform (ST) for spectral analysis of heart rate variability (HRV) signals in time-frequency domain. The ST is depicted numerically and compared with well-liked method of wavelet transform known as continuous Morlet wavelet transform (CMWT). The results of this study show that the normalized mean power and total normalized power in VLF (0.004–0.04 Hz), LF (0.04–0.15 Hz) and HF (0.15–0.4 Hz) were improved compared …

EFFECT OF WARMING TECHNIQUE FOR PREVENTION OF POST-OPERATIVE HYPOTHERMIA AMONG LAPAROTOMY SURGERY PATIENTS UNDERGONE GENERAL ANESTHESIA ADMITTED IN SELECTED HOSPITAL
Abstract: Introduction: Thermoregulation is the regulation of body temperature, an important function of any organism. The body temperature is a vital parameter, like the respiration rate, heart rate and blood pressure. Hypothermia refers to the cooling of the body below the normal temperature range 36°C to 37.50C is normally accepted. Below this value, organ function begins to deteriorate. Temperatures between 360C to around 33°C are considered mild hypothermia. There are many …

Use of Inotropes in Critical Care
Abstract: Inotropes are a social occasion of pharmaceuticals that modify the contractility of the heart. Positive inotropes invigorate the heart's compressions, so it can pump more blood with fewer heartbeats. This solution is for the most part given to patients with congestive heart disillusionment or cardiomyopathy. These pharmaceuticals may similarly be given to patients who have had a late heart ambush. Now and again, inotropes are given to patients whose hearts …

Therapeutic positioning in CCU
Abstract: Repositioning is conceptualized as turning the patient from side to side when lying in bed or on a similar surface. Healthy individuals change positions, even during sleep, approximately every 12 min. A variety of sensory cues prompt a change in body position. These sensory cues prevent detrimental effects of prolonged periods of immobility. Individuals who have neurological impairments must rely on others to reposition them to prevent hazards of immobility. …
