Evaluations of Treatment Performance of Tangerine and Cashew Leaves in TPH Removal from Contaminated Swampy and Clay Soils
Abstract: This study evaluates the effectiveness of two plant-based treatments, Tangerine (Citrus reticulata) and Cashew (Anacardium occidentale) leaves, in the bioremediation of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) from polluted swampy soil. The performance of these treatments was assessed over an 84-day period using 100g of each treatment. The results demonstrated significant degradation of TPH, with Tangerine leaf showing a slight edge over Cashew leaf in the remediation process of crude oil- contaminated …

Use of the electroflotation for oil spill or oil products cleanup from sea or waste water as a new environmental technology
Abstract: Among the existing today methods of cleaning of oil spill and oil products from sea or waste water most perspective for cost-effective and highly effective properties is the electroflotation. However, main problem in the all existing electroflotation methods of cleaning is the increase of the saltiness of the space near the cathode as a result of passing of the electric current through the sea or waste water that covers cathode’s …

Performance Evaluation of Azadirachta indica Leaf on Crude Oil Contaminated Soils
Abstract: The intention of this research was to ascertain the effectiveness of sun-dried and room-dried Azadirachta indica leaf at varying quantities, in the remediation of sandy and loamy soils contaminated with 100ml of crude oil. Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry method was used to test for the physicochemical properties of the materials used for the experiment. The unpolluted loamy soil was observed to contain pH of 6.75, electric conductivity of 10.36µS/cm, Total Oxygen …

Intelligent Nanobots: Real-Time Framework for Molecular Pollution Detection and Health Risk Mitigation
Abstract: Nanobots are machines made at a very small scale. They can do jobs. These machines are very versatile and accurate. They are helping to start an era in cleaning up the environment. Nanobots can focus on pollutants in the environment. Their tiny structures can. Break down bad stuff at the molecular level. They can reach places that regular cleaning methods cannot. Water pollution is a problem. Water pollution is mostly …

Bioremediation of Oil-Spilled Sites through Seeding Naturally Adapted Pseudomonas putida
Abstract: In the present study, crude oil degradation was analyzed using isolated bacterial strains. These bacterial strains were isolated from the crude-oil-contaminated soil sample. All the isolates were identified as species of Pseudomonas, in which the Pseudomonas putida P11 and LP1 demonstrated a strong ability to degrade kerosene, gasoline, diesel, engine oil and crude oil. Bioremediation for oil spill cleanup was analyzed by the inoculation of P. putida with the addition …
