Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon Degradation with the Action of Bio-stimulant using NPK Fertilizer
Abstract: The total petroleum hydrocarbon degradation with the action of bio-stimulant using NPK fertilizer was monitored with respect to different concentration of dosages. The nature of the curve in relationship to the establishment of the equation of the line as well as the square root of the best of each line or curve was considered. The application of this concept enhanced the determination of the kinetic values of each bioreactor process, …

Evaluation of Treatment Performance in TPH Removal from Soil: A Comparative Study of Baobab and Neem Treatments
Abstract: This study evaluates the effectiveness of Baobab (Adansonia) and Neem (Azadirachta indica) in powdered form, combined with yeast and NPK fertilizer, for the bioremediation of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) in polluted swampy and clay soils. Over an 84-day period, both treatments significantly enhanced TPH degradation, with Neem showing slightly better performance overall. In swampy soil, TPH removal ranged from 97.78% (Baobab) to 98.50% (Neem), while in clay soil, it ranged …

A Sensor-Based Soil Monitoring System for Better Crop Harvesting
Abstract: Crop productivity is strongly affected by soil health, environmental conditions, and the availability of timely and accurate monitoring data. Traditional soil testing and crop assessment methods are labor-intensive and time-consuming. They also lack real-time capabilities, which limits efficient agricultural decision-making. This paper proposes an IoT-enabled smart soil monitoring and crop management system that provides real-time analysis of important soil and environmental parameters to improve agricultural productivity. The proposed system uses …

Effect of Activation on the Physicochemical Parameters and Characteristics of Ethanol Production
Abstract: This research demonstrates the effectiveness of activators used to monitor the yield of ethanol production and the role of the physicochemical parameters. The activators used in this study is Morign oleifera and NPK fertilizer as well as the process enhancing microbial activities in the bioreactor for the production of ethanol. The experimental result reveals that the physicochemical parameters enhance the effectiveness of increase in ethanol production, because the physicochemical parameters …

TPH Degradation through Bioremediation Using Organic Amendments
Abstract: This study investigates the effectiveness of bioremediation in crude oil-contaminated soils from the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, an area that has long suffered environmental degradation due to recurrent petroleum exploration and oil spills. The research emphasizes the degradation of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) in two distinct soil types – swampy and clay soils – while assessing the influence of various organic and inorganic amendments. Organic amendments, specifically Moringa seed …

Influence of Treatment on Soil Potassium: A Comparative Study Using Mango Leaf and Bitter Leaf
Abstract: This research investigates the influence of two organic amendments, Mango leaf and Bitter leaf, on the potassium content in swampy and clay soils. Potassium plays a crucial role in supporting microbial activity during bioremediation, making it an essential nutrient in hydrocarbon-contaminated environments. The study explores the temporal variation in potassium concentrations in soils treated with powdered Mango leaves, Bitter leaves, yeast, and NPK fertilizer over a period of 84 days. …
