UNIT OPERATIONS IN CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES
Abstract: The unit operation like distillation, absorption, evaporation, filtration, drying, etc. are most important factors. Distillation is a purification method for liquids and can separate components of a mixture if they have significantly different boiling points. Absorption is a physical or chemical phenomenon. Evaporation can be defined as the process where liquid is transformed into a gaseous state. Evaporation can occur only when water is available. Drying is an important unit …

Mechanical Studies and Thermal Kinetics of Isoniazid Crystals
Abstract: Single crystals of isoniazid were crystallized by slow solvent evaporation method. The crystal structure was confirmed using single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Micro hardness was estimated and work hardening coefficient and Newtonian resistance pressure of the crystal were determined. Kinetic analysis of the thermogravimetric data was carried out by using Coats-Redfern relation. Activation energy, frequency factor and order of reaction were also calculated. Arrhenius equation for isoniazid is k=0.43×105e–79103/RT mol–1s–1. …

Controlling Catalytic Reactions-Recent Report
Abstract: Catalysts play an important role in various chemical reactions. Their prime role is to speed up the reaction. Catalysts are required in very small amounts and are not consumed during the reaction. Today, catalysts are not only required by chemists to accelerate their chemical processes but they have become a crucial part of the industrial sector as well [1]. This is because use of catalyst in accelerating the reaction rate …

The new method of purification of the industrial waste waters
Abstract: The main problem in the all existing electrofloatation methods of cleaning is the increase of the alkalization space near the cathode that leads to formation of the salts sediments on the cathode as a result of passing of the electric current through the water environment. The salts so tightly cover cathode’s surface that can cause the total curtailment of the process of electrofloatation. This can be explained by the fact …
