Basic Fundamentals of Different Solar Cells, Solar Energy Materials and Photovoltaic Performances
Abstract: Solar cell is one of the thrust areas of modern technology in the field of renewable energy. Crystalline semiconductor wafer based solar cells (SCs) (thicknesses almost 200–300 μm) mainly crystalline-Si or GaAs based solar cells are playing the legend role in last few decades. With technological revolution, thin film SCs (thickness range 1–2 μm), dye-sensitized or Graetzel, organic/polymer and plasmonic solar cell respectively are known as 2nd,3rd, 4th and 5th …

A Review on Modified TiO2 Nanostructured Materials in DSSC
Abstract: Dye sensitized solar cells DSSCs emerged as a new class of low cost energy conversion devices with simple manufacturing procedures and environmentally friendly character.TiO2 controls the light harvesting and confinement properties of the cell, in addition to preventing charge recombination and promoting charge transport toward the anode. These last two parameters are major factors in determining the charge collection efficiency. The particle size and shape, crystallinity, surface morphology and chemistry …

Impact of Substrate Temperature on Chemically Deposited Cds Thin Films
Abstract: The interest for renewable energy sources are increasing day by day due to the limited availability of fossil fuel. Among all the renewable energy sources solar energy is growing interest due to its easy availability almost among all area of earth where people lives. Solar energy can be used as a source of energy by two ways: Solar Photovoltaic Cell and Solar thermal. Photovoltaic cells are the easiest way for …

Preparation of Cu2O/ZnO Heterojunction Thin Film Solar Cell grown by RF Magnetron Sputtering
Abstract: Both cuprous oxide (Cu2O) and zinc oxide (ZnO) hold a very important position in the fields of materials science due to great potential in many acoustic, electric and optical applications. Cu2O, a direct-gap semiconductor with band gap energy of 2.0 eV has been regarded as one of the most promising materials for application to photovoltaic cells, especially for the top cell in a tandem structure. The attractiveness of Cu2O and …

Ignition Characteristics for Thermal Runaways of Hazard Chemical Reactions of Different Degree of Reactions
Abstract: Thermal explosion characteristics of a hazardous chemical reaction of different reaction order have been investigated analytically and numerically for both Arrhenius and Frank-Kamenetskii approximation models for the rate of reaction. The critical conditions in the temperature-time, concentration-time, and temperature – concentration planes of solutions are presented. A comparison between the results of analytical solutions in these planes is offered. The solutions show that the critical states in the temperature-time plane …
