Biokinetic Model of Crude Oil degradation: The Integration of Moringa-Alcohol-Water Root Extracts
Abstract: Mathematical model was developed to study the crude oil degradation on the effect of moringa-alcohol-water root extracts. In different soils environment of Niger Delta area of Nigeria. The mass of moringa in alcohol and water used for this research work is 500g and 600g. In all cases the decrease with increase in the period of exposure (Time) for remediation of the contaminated soil types studied for the first order rate …

Evaluation of Some Trace Metals (Zn, Cd, Cu and Pb) in Sewage Sludge Samples Taken from Some Pumping Stations in Benghazi-Libya
Abstract: Due to the little data available on the levels of trace metals concentration in sewage sludge in and around Benghazi city, it was necessary to determine the current concentration, composition, distribution and sources of trace metals in the sludge of different wastewater treatment plants. Accordingly, raw sewage sludge samples collected from sixteen wastewater-pumping stations at Benghazi city have undergone evaluation of pH and some trace metals concentrations (mainly Zn, Cd, …

Nanocoating and Electrospraying Techniques Used for Corrosion Mitigation of Aluminum in Nitrogen dioxide Environment
Abstract: Nitrogen gas absorbs moist air to produce nitric acid. It develops acidic medium for aluminum. It forms a corrosion cell on the surface of aluminum. The formation of corrosion cell is written as: Al|Al+3||H+|H2 thus Corrosion reactions accelerate on aluminum surface and Al is oxidized into Al+3 and the H+ ions is reduced into H2. This acid produces various forms of corrosion in aluminum like galvanic, pitting, stress, crevice, blistering, …

Review of Methods of the Desalination of the Sea Water
Abstract: Among the existing today methods of the desalination of sea water most perspective for cost-effective and highly effective properties is a new multipurpose method of desalination of sea water using the effect of direct electric current (DC) on sea water in a continuous action two-camera desalinator, where in one of the chambers the cathode is located at its bottom and the anode located above the cathode is isolated from it …

TRACE METALS IN SURFACE WATER AND SEDIMENTS OF LOWER NEW CALABAR RIVER, RIVERS STATE, NIGERIA
Abstract: The concentration of trace metals in surface water and sediments of lower New Calabar River was investigated. The results obtained showed that the trace metals Pb, Cd, Fe, Zn, Co and Cu occurred in both surface water and sediments. There was high distribution of the trace metals according to the sample locations attributed to both anthropogenic and natural resources. The concentration of trace metals in surface water followed the trend …
