Vaccines Linked with Mental Disorders
Abstract
The researchers found associations for one injection in specific: the influenza vaccine, which was related with developed charges of obsessive–compulsive disorder, anorexia, anxiety complaint and tic illness. A biological explanation for these correlations has not been found, but a potential mechanism could lie in the body’s immune response to vaccines, the study suggested. Vaccines effort by digging the immune system to harvest antibodies against viruses and micro-organisms, thus preparing the body against these pathogens before they arrive it. Some antibodies, however, can react against not only the intended pathogen proteins, but also against human proteins by a phenomenon called cross-reactivity.References (7)
