Impact, Flexural, and Hardness Properties of AISI 1018 Mild Steel Butt Joint Welded using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) under Various Welding Parameters
Abstract: AbstractThe effects of welding parameters such as welding current, voltage, and travel speed on the impact, flexural, and hardness properties of AISI 1018 mild steel using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) were investigated. In this research, specimen sizes of 500 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm and 5.5 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm were fabricated according to ASTM standards. In addition, a v-groove had been prepared at …

Design, Fabrication, Analysis and Testing of Carbon Fiber Chain Sprocket for Transmission Applications
Abstract: The sprocket is a very essential part in the transmission of power and motion in most motorcycles. Commonly chain sprockets are manufactured in mild steel. The existing sprocket should be changed regularly between 12,000 km to 15,000 km in vehicles. Chain sprocket has many issues like breaking impacts creates unexpected damages in sprocket teeth also gets wears, Potential reasons for these problems are critical excessive load damage, high effect of …

Corrosion Inhibition Studies of Triazinedithiol Inhibitors for Mild Steel in an Acid Chloride Solution
Abstract: Two environmental pleasant triazine dithiol inhibitors 6-diallylamino-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-dithiol monosodium (DAN)and 6-dibutylamino-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-dithiol monosodium (DBN) was synthesized and their corrosion inhibition for slight metallic in a 1 M HCl solution turned into studied the usage of weight reduction methods, electrochemical measurements, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques. The inhibition efficiency of both DAN and DBN improved with increases in inhibitor concentration but decreased with increases in temperature. Results from potentiodynamic polarization and EIS …

Properties in Materials for Car Frame Structure
Abstract: Selection of materials for car body frame ‘the body-in-white’ considers association of structural components. This context emphasizes competitive materials like aluminum and composites in place of steel for equivalent performances in area body panels. Continuous variation in legislation and competences of industrialists to competitive market have appeared to use functionally graded materials of additive properties like thermal transport and joining ease. Tubular shapes have encouraged production of stiff commercial auto …

A Review on Green Inhibitors to Corrosion of Steel
Abstract: Traditions of green corrosion inhibitors are described to elucidate soybean oil derivatives, Spondias cytherea leaves, Rosmarinus officinalis L. leaves, Chrysophyllum albidum; Tridax procumbens L. leaves, roasted coffee, Jatropha curcas leaves, Propolis, Manilkara zapota fruit peel, avocado, Canna indica flower. Green inhibitors are ever praised due to environmentally friendly usage. Industrial feasibility is studied from laboratory simulations. Carbonated drink corrosion of steel is most acceptable to use green inhibitors. Corrosion in …
