Virtual Reality in Nursing Education: Enhancing Clinical Training and Competency
Abstract: Background: The integration of virtual reality (VR) in nursing education has emerged as a transformative approach to bridge gaps in clinical training, particularly where traditional hands-on opportunities are limited. This study investigates the effectiveness of VR-based simulation on improving clinical competency and self-efficacy among undergraduate nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental, pre-test/post-test design was employed with 60 final-year nursing students divided into control (traditional training) and experimental (VR training) groups. Participants …

Innovative Educational Strategies to Bridge the Theory-Practice Gap in Nursing Education
Abstract: The theory-practice gap in nursing education remains a persistent challenge, hindering the ability of students to effectively translate theoretical knowledge into practical, clinical skills. This study explores innovative educational strategies aimed at bridging this gap, with a focus on simulation-based learning (SBL), AI-driven education, and competency-based education (CBE). Through a mixed-methods approach involving surveys, clinical assessments, and semi-structured interviews with nursing students and faculty, the study evaluates the impact of …

The Making of Scenario: A Descriptive Qualitative Study to Explore Lecturers’ View in Simulated Patient-based Simulation Session
Abstract: Simulated patient (SP) is defined as a layperson that simulates to portray the role of a patient withhealth-related conditions based on varying levels of training. The aim of the study was to explore thelecturers’ view toward an SP-based simulation session. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews with five participants recruited for a focused group interview. The interviewerused a list of guide questions to explore both the positive and negative …

Establishment of a Sensitive LC-MS Method for Pharmacokinetic Evaluation of Decitabine and Cedazuridie in Rat Plasma
Abstract: A simple, rapid, and highly sensitive liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS) method was successfully developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of Decitabine and Cedazuridine in plasma matrices. The method demonstrated excellent linearity across the selected calibration range, with correlation coefficients (R²) consistently exceeding 0.999 for both analytes, indicating strong analytical performance. Method validation was carried out in accordance with ICH Q2(R2) and US FDA bioanalytical method validation guidelines, ensuring compliance …

Possible drugs for Huntington’s disease from Capsicum annuum developed using molecular docking against Huntington protein
Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Capsicum annuum as a suitable plant for the treatment of Huntington’s disease using Pyrx. Huntington’s disease results in the damage of the nervous system over a period of time. For this study, we take into consideration Capsaicin, a compound obtained from the fruit of Capsicum annuum (bell pepper) responsible for giving the fruit it’s pungent odor. Studies show that Capsaicin plays a crucial role …
