Evaluations of Treatment Performance of Tangerine and Cashew Leaves in TPH Removal from Contaminated Swampy and Clay Soils
Abstract: This study evaluates the effectiveness of two plant-based treatments, Tangerine (Citrus reticulata) and Cashew (Anacardium occidentale) leaves, in the bioremediation of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) from polluted swampy soil. The performance of these treatments was assessed over an 84-day period using 100g of each treatment. The results demonstrated significant degradation of TPH, with Tangerine leaf showing a slight edge over Cashew leaf in the remediation process of crude oil- contaminated …

Chemical Synthesis & study of Silver Nano Particles
Abstract: Silver nanoparticles easily interact with other particles and increases their antibacterial efficiency furthermore due to their attractive chemical, physical and optical properties has received considerable attention of the researcher. In this paper silver nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical reduction method using silver salt AgNO3 and using reducing agent NaBH4. The borohydride anions were adsorbed onto silver nanoparticles and addition of PVP prevented the aggregation of silver nanoparticles. A yellow colour …

In Vitro Evaluation of Bioremediation Capacity of a Commercial Probiotic, Bacillus clausii, for Chromium (VI) and Lead (II) Toxicity
Abstract: Heavy metals cause disastrous effects on any living organisms. Probiotics have the ability to reduce metal toxicity. Commercial probiotics having bioremediation capacity can use these bacteria as an alternative to conventional remediation methods. The bioaccumulation of heavy metals including chromium (VI) (Cr [VI]) and lead (II) (Pb [II]) causes fatal toxicity in humans. Some naturally occurring bacterial species, such as Bacillus and Pseudomonas, contribute their role in bioremediation of these …

Consume Amla, the Wonder Berry – See Big Improvement in Health
Abstract: The Indian Amla fruit tastes sour, but it is very nourishing. Both dried and fresh fruits have health benefits. Many health problems are caused by oxidative damage. Antioxidant agents prevent and repair these damages. Vitamin C is a good antioxidant agent. It contains vitamin C, which is nearly 20 times the vitamin C in oranges. Amla lose none of the vitamin C in the cooking process. It is rich in …

Dynamic Matrix Control Versus Nonlinear ModelPredictive Control for the Van de Vusse ContinuousStirred-Tank Reactor: Diagnosing and Correcting aCost-Function Pathology That Masked NMPC’sTrue Performance
Abstract: The Van de Vusse reaction in a continuous stirred-tank reactor (CSTR) is a benchmark for nonlinear multivariable control, but its narrow operating envelope creates a trap for nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC): when the setpoint step is small relative to the plant’s reachable range, a standard quadratic NMPC cost function can make zero control action mathematically optimal, even with a perfect prediction model. This paper documents that failure mode, traces …
