Microstructural and Hardness Study of A390/20wt.% SiC Functionally Graded Metal Matrix Composite
Abstract: Functionally graded materials are the upcoming new class of advanced materials, which exhibit gradual change in the microstructure and the composition in a definite direction, and hence variation in functional performance within a part. Functionally graded metal matrix composites (FGMMC) are FGM with metal and ceramic constituents. Aluminum-Silicon alloys are well-known for their unique combination of desirable characteristics, which includes excellent castability and less density combined with good mechanical properties. …

Advanced Magnesium-Based Metallic GlassComposites for Biomedical Implant Applications: AMachine-Learning-Informed Approach
Abstract: Magnesium-based bulk metallic glasses (Mg-BMGs) combine strength, low density, and tunable degradability. Their amorphous matrix has a small plastic process zone. This zone is only about 4 μm wide. A small process zone keeps most glasses brittle. Adding a second phase is the best fix. This chapter extends Mg-BMGs to true composites. We call these Mg-based bulk metallic glass composites, or Mg- BMGCs. The chapter covers matrix engineering and interfacial …

Preparation and Characterization of Double Step StirCusted Aluminum Hybrid Composite Reinforced with RHA and Si3N4 Micron Particles
Abstract: Abstract: The improvement of the mechanical and tribological characteristics of composites is always a crucial area of research for materials scientists. Nowadays, particulate aluminum matrix hybrid composites, known as particle-reinforced hybrid aluminum matrix composites (PHAMCs), are becoming more popular due to their desirable properties, cost-effectiveness, ease of processing, and compatibility withtraditional processing techniques. In this current study, a two-step stir casting method was utilized tocreate aluminum hybrid composites using Al6061 …

Nanocoating and Electrospray Techniques Use to Mitigation Corrosion Sculptures
Abstract: The most sculptures of the world are created by the brass, bronze, iron, silver, gold and metalloid. They come in contact of corrosive pollutants to produce chemical, electrochemical and biochemical reactions and develop various form of corrosion like uniform corrosion, galvanic corrosion, pitting corrosion, stress corrosion and crevice corrosion. The corrosive gases CO2, NO2 and SO2 concentrations increase in atmosphere rapidly after industrialization. The major contributors of these gases are …
