Conversion of Heat Absorbed (Waste Heat) in a Building for Electricity Generation Using a Thermoelectric Generator
Abstract: This study investigates the feasibility of thermoelectric generators (TEGs) for recovering waste heat from building systems and converting it into electrical energy through the Seebeck effect. A journal-scale simulation framework integrating ANSYS thermal modeling with MATLAB/Simulink electrical analysis was developed to evaluate TEG deployment on building envelope surfaces at the Federal Polytechnic Nyak Shendam, Nigeria. Results demonstrate a proportional increase in electrical output with rising temperature gradients, confirming predictable thermoelectric …

Waste Heat Recovery Technologies for IC Engines: A Comparative Review of Thermoelectric andOrganic Rankine Cycle Systems
Abstract: Abstract Internal combustion (IC) engines, widely used in automotive, marine, and industrial applications, are inherently inefficient due to significant thermal energy losses. A substantial portion of the energy generated from fuel combustion is expelled as waste heat through the exhaust system and cooling fluids. With increasing emphasis on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) technologies have garnered considerable attention for their potential to enhance overall engine performance …

PV PANEL EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENT USING A HYBRID PV-TEG ASSEMBLY SYSTEM
Abstract: Peltier cells are used as a system to generate electricity through thermoelectric conversion using heat removed from the rear side of PV panels. This system also helps in improving PV panel performance by reducing the temperature of the panel. The combination of thermoelectric generation and improved PV panel efficiency represents an interesting solution to increase power generation in PV systems. The proposed prototype describes the characterization of a hybrid system …

HYBRID PV-TEG SYSTEM TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE
Abstract: The use of Peltier cells as a system to use residual hot generated by photovoltaic panels while working is seen as a solution to the loss of performance in them because of the hot previously mentioned. At the same time it favors the production of electric energy because of the Seebeck effect. To determine the viability of a hybrid system photovoltaic panel and Peltier cell assembly it is essential to …
