OPTIMIZATION OF EDM PARAMETERS USING PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHM
Abstract: Aluminium metal matrix composites are increasing the applications such as automobile industries, aerospace industries ,marine as well as construction. The use of nonconventional machining techniques in shaping aluminum metal matrix composites has generated extensive interest as the manufacturing of complicated contours such as dies. Electrical discharge machining (EDM) tends to be a promising technique for machining metal matrix composites. Hybrid Al6061 composite reinforced with 10% SiC and 4% Graphite particles …

Mass Transport of Heavy Metals in Soil Columns Amended with Biochar Nanoparticles
Abstract: Biochar has potential as a valuable material for removing heavy metals from wastewater. The biochar obtained by pyrolysis of the Pomegranate Peel (PPBC) under an oxygen-limited atmosphere in a muffle furnace at 450°C. The biochar was also analyzed through SEM and FTIR for identification of particle size and functional groups. Therefore, the present work aims to study the effect of adding biochar to the soil columns (10 cm length and …

Friction Stir Processing & Aging on Fatigue Properties of Different Alloy: A Review
Abstract: The FSP process is a thermo mechanical processing techniques which is carried out by means of pin tool that will heat and mechanically deformed the material. FSP has been developed to produce UFG by applying compressive load with a suitable Tool. To enhance the mechanical properties like strength, fatigue, hardness as well as other properties like optical, electrical, magnetic the microstructure is that decides them. We refine grains by large …

THERMODYNAMICS OF HEAVY METALS (Hg2+, Cd2+, Fe2+AND Ni2+) ADSORPTION USING BOILER FLY ASH
Abstract: The effect of temperature on the adsorption of heavy metals, Hg2+, Cd2+, Fe2+ and Ni2+ using unactivated boiler fly ash (an agricultural waste) was investigated. The results showed that Hg2+ and Cd2+ ions were mostly affected by increase in temperature because their sorption rate decreased at high temperature. At the temperature of 273 K and 383 K, the amount of Hg2+ adsorbed (mg/g) by the unactivated boiler fly ash was …
