Mechanical properties of Poly vinyl alcohol and Nitrocellulose blends.
Abstract: Mechanical properties of polyvinyl alcohol and nitrocellulose blends has been determined successfully via tensile strength, Young’s modulus, percentage elongation and impact strength. The blends of the respective polymers are in the ratio PVA:NC (90:10,80:20,60:40,50:0,40:60,10:90). There are good results from different blend ratios which include tensile strength PVA: NC 90:10 (16.98MPa) Young’s modulus 60:40 (0.71MPa).
