Utilization of Waste Groundnut Shell Ash in Zero Cement Concrete
Abstract: Currently, geopolymer concrete serves as an excellent alternative to traditional plain cementconcrete, as it is produced without using ordinary Portland cement. Different source materials suchas fly ash, rice husk ash, metakaolin, red mud etc. are preferred to act as the main source forgeopolymer production. In this work, a new innovative waste material such as groundnut ash isutilized as the source material for the manufacture of geopolymer concrete by considering thestrength, …

Optimization Process Parameters of Manganese Phosphate coating developed on En-19 Steels by Statistical Design of Experiment
Abstract: Phosphating is a chemical conversion process in which constituents of a metal surface with a view to produce thin adherent protective coating of insoluble crystalline phosphate by reaction with phosphoric acid solution. This conversion coating should have strong interfacial adhesion and porous enough. The growth of phosphate coating is influenced by method of cleaning of metal surface to be treated before treatment, use of surface activating rinses and acid or …

Effect of TiO2 on HER Activity of Electrodeposited Zn–Ni Coatings
Abstract: This paper demonstrates the improved electrocatalytic behavior of Zn–Ni alloy coatings for alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), due to addition of TiO2 nanoparticles into the bath. Zn–Ni alloy coatings have been electrodeposited galvanostatically on copper, with wide compositional range (2.31–7.91 wt. % of Zn) at different current densities (c.d.) between 2.0 and 5.0 A dm-2. The electrocatalytic behaviors of all coatings have been studied for alkaline HER in 1.0 M …

Evaluation of Groundwater Quality Parameters Through Physico-Chemical Analysis in the Puducherry Region
Abstract: Abstract The evaluation of the quality of drinking water in Puducherry state and its surrounding regions primarily concentrated on groundwater sources. Nine specimens were examined using standardized techniques, and their outcomes were contrasted with national standards. Nevertheless, on a worldwide scale, the quality of water is facing a growing danger from unwelcome alterations in its physical, chemical, and biological characteristics. Population growth, industrialization, fertilizer usage, and mining activities are major …

In Vitro Evaluation of Bioremediation Capacity of a Commercial Probiotic, Bacillus clausii, for Chromium (VI) and Lead (II) Toxicity
Abstract: Heavy metals cause disastrous effects on any living organisms. Probiotics have the ability to reduce metal toxicity. Commercial probiotics having bioremediation capacity can use these bacteria as an alternative to conventional remediation methods. The bioaccumulation of heavy metals including chromium (VI) (Cr [VI]) and lead (II) (Pb [II]) causes fatal toxicity in humans. Some naturally occurring bacterial species, such as Bacillus and Pseudomonas, contribute their role in bioremediation of these …
