Characterization of Tesu Colour Dyeing on Excel Fibre and to Study the Effects of Caustic Treatment
Abstract: Tesu, the natural flower colour, was extracted in such way that the maximum colour yield can be obtained on textile fibre. The extracted Tesu colour was applied on excel, the third generation regenerated cellulosic fibre, at different pH, time, temperature and electrolyte concentration. The characterisation of Tesu colour dyeing on excel fibre was developed. Further, the effects of caustic soda treatment on dyeability of excel fibre with natural Tesu colour …

Greener ways of synthesizing Styrene oxide
Abstract: Styrene oxide is a key intermediate used in the fragrance, flavour, polymer and pharmaceutical industries, basically synthesized through processes such as epoxidation followed by distillation. These methods generate effluents that give rise to significant environmental challenges and rendering large-scale commercial production non-viable. The urgency for a greener and more economically viable synthesis routes has given rise to the exploration of alternative methods that produces lesser effluent generation. Enzymatic synthesis offers …

Chemical Analysis for the Production of Liquid Detergent
Abstract: This research work is focused on rendering chemical analysis on the production of detergent with focus on the application of sodium tripolyphosphate, carboxymethyl cellulose, sulphonic acid, sodium hydroxide (caustic soda), sodium silicate, and others not mentioned. In this analysis, we considered the mixture of detergent production formulated to meet the required cleansing standard of various applications. Therefore, pH of the detergent was maintained between 7 and 8 to avoid corrosion …
