FEA Analysis on Motor Support Assembly of Window Air Conditioner
Abstract: The objective of this paper is to analyze and optimize the motor support assembly of the window air conditioner. The redesigned motor support assembly is the combination of multiple parts of the existing product. In the motor support assembly, motor support base part is optimized to reduce the weight of the component with maximum stiffness for the applied loads and constraints. The CAD model of motor support assembly is performed …

Finite Element Modeling for the Development and Evaluation of a Complaint Mechanism
Abstract: This paper presents the design and simulation of a complaint mechanism, emphasizing precision implementation through various studies and principles. The modeling of the complaint mechanism is conducted using CREO software, while both static and dynamic analyses are performed using ANSYS software. Through static analysis involving force considerations, the paper deduces the deflection of motion, noting that the XY structure deformation mirrors the elongation of an S-shaped cantilever beam. Comparative assessments …

Modelling and Analysis of Pressure Distribution of a Honing Machine Tool
Abstract: In the honing machining process it is very important that tool should with stand the pressure to create the pattern inside the cylinder. This project deals with the reverse engineering process, and selecting the appropriate pressure for honing tool and simulations are done at different pressure readings and the result of Forces on the component so that the productivity of the machine is improved. To achieve this we take a …

Design Improvement of Window Air Conditioner Assembly Using DFMA Technique
Abstract: In this paper, the window air conditioner assembly is analyzed using design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) tool. Dewhurst and Boothroyd method is used to perform the analysis. The CAD models are done using CREO PARAMETRIC 2.0. DFMA tool provides the effective cost analysis for the product before manufacturing begins. The outcome of the research shows the increase in design efficiency and decrease in product cost for the redesigned product …
