Diffusion based Low-Light Image Enhancement
Abstract: Sometimes the visual quality of images is affected by imperfect imaging conditions such as low-light,foggy weather, cloudy weather and night-time lighting. This poor quality of images affects the performances of many computer vision algorithms which are specially designed for high-qualityimages. In this paper, we are introducing a simple and effective method to enhance the low-light images based on the Retinex theory, in which the illumination-map is made to be region …

Encrypted Visible light communication for optimum performance
Abstract: Visible light communication (VLC) is regarded as the relatively secure communication when compared with other wireless communications using radio frequency (RF). The original visible signal sending from the lamp can be first received by the proposed light encrypter. The information can be encrypted and then emitted. The light encrypter acts as an encryption gateway for signals in the optical domain. The rolling shutter effect of the complementary metal–oxide semiconductor (CMOS) …

Richard Meier’s Time-Space, Place-Form and Color-Light (Past and New Reflections on the Starchitect’s Getty Centre and Selected Major Works until 2000)
Abstract: The focus of this article is in the reflection on some important architectural concepts that seem to ‘color’ Richard Meier’s work: Time, Space, Place, Form, Color and Light. On the other hand, this is not a philosophical discourse, a theoretical treatise, nor it is a chronological paper about Richard Meier’s work, but rather an aesthetic reflection and a conceptual query. In order to achieve this, the article will nonetheless use …

Development of Geo-Polymer based Light Weight Bricks
Abstract: Light weight geopolymer bricks were developed during this study. The mix was made with lime sodium silicate and fly ash as ingredients. A maximum shrinkage was observed at CaO lime ratio of 1.0. Bulk densities were also lower at the ratio of 1.0. The maximum cold crushing strength (CCS) value was found at the ratio of 0.745. Increase in mix water decreased the strength. Water content of 24% is recommended …
