Synthesis, Characterization and Optimization of Essential Oil from Pumpkin Seed
Abstract: The main aim of this research work was extraction, characterization and optimization of essential oil from pumpkin seed, cucurbita pepo variety using ethanol as a solvent. The extraction was carried out by using a Soxhlet, leaching method and oil was separated from solvents by using rotary evaporator. Pumpkin seed was analyzed for proximate analysis and found that moisture content of 5.21 , crude proteins content of 22.50.31%, crude fat content …

Sapota Seed Oil
Abstract: The objective of this work was to extract and determine the chemical composition of oil obtained from sapota seed fruits that are grown in India and characterize it. The sapota seed oil was extracted from kernel using different solvents viz., (a) carbon tetra chloride, (b) n-hexane and (c) toluene for eight extractions or stages. Nearly, 20–23% of oil yield was obtained. The oil has acid value – 4.11 to 9.5, …

The Improvement of Polyvinyl Chloride Synthesis Using Different Approaches
Abstract: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is produced by the polymerization of the vinyl chloride monomer either by direct chlorination of olefins or by addition of hydrogen chloride to acetylene. The polymerization conditions are: heat, peroxides or oxidizing agents with basic structure as -CH2CHCl.CHCl-CH2.CHCl-. Polyvinyl chloride is a thermoplastic and its plasticity can be increased by incorporating ‘plasticizers’ of relatively low molecular weight organic materials during molding or extrusion. PVC has high hardness …

Investigation of Mild Steel Corrosion by Clay Soil Environment
Abstract: This research work was carried out to observe the microbiologically induced corrosion in relation to mild steel of clay soil environments. We analyzed the physicochemical parameters and ascertained their biological features and impacts in the soil environment. In course of this research work, clay soil samples were collected in exactly four different locations at 100 m to 200 m and mixed together to form a single sample (sample D). The …
