Rainfall Runoff Analysis for Mithi River to Estimate Flood
Abstract: This paper presents how to calculate and analysis the rainfall and runoff around Mithi River by various models. There are some previous examines that have been used for valuation of rainfall-runoff. In this research, last 10 years data of rainfall is considered for estimation of runoff around Mithi River. In this study rainfall intensity, land coverage pattern, catchment area around Mithi River is also considered for calculation. Various methods such …

Assessment and Prediction of Groundwater for Irrigational Suitability
Abstract: Assessment of ground water suitability for irrigation purposes in Egita community has been investigated. The study gave sodium absorption ratio (SAR) values for different weeks of study. The values obtained ranges between 0.33 to 0.37 for both empirical model and finite element method respectively. The research demonstrates the suitability of using finite element method in predicting and monitoring sodium absorption ratio in groundwater water modelling and investigations. The correlation between …

Tomato (Lycopersicon Esculentum Mill.) Yield and Yield Component Evaluation using Bottle Drip Irrigation in Yabello District, Southern Ethiopia
Abstract: Drip irrigation is the most proficient systems in supplying water to plant root but it still allows relatively high evaporation especially in clay soils. Thus identifying the high performing water delivering technology for limited water region is fundamental for high yield and water productivity. Bottle irrigation is more appropriate with not quantified results in these studies in saving water. The trials were replicated three times in RCBD for comprising of …

Effect of Data Length on Estimation of Probable Maximum Precipitation Using Hershfield Method
Abstract: Probable Maximum Precipitation (PMP) represents the greatest depth of precipitation for a given duration that is physically possible over a given size storm area at a particular geographical location and at a particular time of year. PMP is used for estimating probable maximum flood which, in turn, is used for design of major hydraulic structures such as dams and spillways, flood protection works and nuclear power plants. One of the …
