A Detailed Lumped Model for Vinyl Acetate Emulsion Polymerization
Abstract: Abstract A mathematical model was developed to simulate emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate monomer in isothermal, batch and semi-batch reactors. The recipe components included monomer (vinyl acetate), initiator (potassium persulfate), surfactant (sodium dodecyl sulfate) and water as the dispersion medium. The two important phenomena, particle nucleation and particle growth, were modeled in adequate detail. The mechanistic details included: particle formation via micellar nucleation; coupling of the radical concentration in the …

SEPARATION OF CO2/CH4 USING POLYMERIC MEMBRANES - REVIEW
Abstract: Separation of CO /CH mixture is widely done efficient separation of mixture into desired components unit processes and unit operation had 2 4 been developed with passage of time. Sometimes using conventional technologies. CO2 when carried along with CH4 can cause additional cost of pumping. Most commonly used technique like cryogenic separation, adsorption and absorption are used for decades for separation of CO2 form CH4.Membrane has been developing technology for …

Syenthesis characterization and biological activities of Schiff base metal complexes of Zr (II) Ba(II), Cu(II), Sr(II) and Th (II) derived from sulfa pyridine
Abstract: Abstract : The Schiff base ligand was prepared by sulfapyridine with salicylaldehyde Zr(II), Ba(II), Co(II), Sr(II) and Th (II) complexes of above ligand was synthesized as well. The synthesized complexes have been characterized by powder XRD and SEM. The anti microbial activity of synthesized ligand ant its complexes have been tested for their antibacterial activity against bacterial species, such as Bacillus subtilis, staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas, aeruginosa, Enterobacter aerogenes, E-coli and …

SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERISATION OF NATURAL FIBRE REINFORCED EPOXY COMPOSITES BASED ON SESAME OIL
Abstract: ABSTRACT Epoxy sheet and its composites were obtained by epoxidised resin and coir fibres respectively. Epoxidisedresin were prepared by condensing sesame oil using hydrogen peroxide and glacial acetic acid as catalyst. The resin was characterisedby spectral studies such as FT-IR and Solvent Absorptivity Percentage of Epoxy Resin and its Composites. The epoxy composites have higher solvent absorptivity percentage in the solvents when compared to that of epoxy resin. The epoxy composites …

SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND STUDY OF PHOTOCATALYTIC ACTIVITY OF PVA CAPPED ZINC INDIUM SELENIDE NANOPARTICLES UNDER UV LIGHT IRRADIATION USING METHYL RED DYE
Abstract: In this work, we report the structural morphology, optical properties and photocatalytic activity of polymer capped zinc indium selenide nanoparticles, which have been synthesized by solvothermal method. PVA is acted as capping agent. The PVA capped zinc indium selenide nanoparticles were characterized using XRD, SEM with EDAX, AFM, TEM and UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy. The structural properties of PVA capped zinc indium selenide nanoparticles have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) …
