Accelerometer-based Hand Gesture Controlled Robot Car Using Arduino
Abstract: This paper introduces a gesture controlled user interface (GCUI) template and discusses software, application and usability patterns. It provides an integrated approach to real-time detections, gesture-based information that control the movement of vehicles, and user gesture manipulation using hand movements. Adaptation is a three-axis accelerometer. The accelerometer also moves accordingly as the person moves his hand. The movement is accelerometer-captured and gesture-processed. Today, communications between human beings are moving away …

A Review on Bacterial Foraging Optimization
Abstract: Bacterial foraging optimization algorithm (BFOA) is based on the social and cooperative behaviour found in nature. Bacteria look for nutrients in nature in an optimized manner such that it improves its nutrient level as well as it also helps other bacteria to find the nutrient by attracting them towards the food bacteria are looking for nutrients so that the energy extracted per unit time is maximized. Through sending signals, individual …

A Review on Two-Area Hydro-thermal Power System
Abstract: In a two-area system, there will be one automatic load frequency control (ALFC) loop for each control area. Practical aspects considered in this system are reheat turbine in thermal power plant and mechanical governor in hydro-power plant. Reheat turbine improves the efficiency of the system as it again utilizes the steam coming out from high pressure turbine (HP) to run the intermediate pressure (IP) turbine and low pressure (LP) turbine. Keywords: …

Simulating Controlled Reluctance Motor
Abstract: The objective of the study is to control an ultra-high speed switched reluctance motor generator. Ansys simulation process is used here to achieve sensor less control over the entire speed range. Different rated speeds are applied, and inductance profiles are found. A full speed range sensor less closed-loop control system is implemented using current gradient measurement. To obtain sensor less control over the entire speed range, the open-loop control and …

Mocking up of Thermal Power Plant for Better understanding of Load Frequency Control
Abstract: The integrated power system consists of control areas linked by tie lines to each other. The loads of the generator, station, and device are determined by the summation of different outputs of the thermal converter. Frequency is determined by the instrument form of the frequency bridge. Because this data is fed into a master controller, it can sense the need for more or less generation and send impulses to the …
