Effects of Deficit Irrigation on Tomato (Galila 555) Yield and Water Productivity in Silte Zone, Rift Valley, Ethiopia
Abstract: Irrigated agricultures becoming main concern and strongly recognized to ensure the food security. Deficit irrigation is main strategy to improve water and crop productivity. This study was conducted for two consecutive years (2010 E.C-2012 E.C) to determine the sensitive growth stage effect on tomato yield for water stress and improve water productivity in misrak silti Woreda, Silte Zone, Ethiopia. There experiment has six deficit irrigation levels of treatments plus farmer …

Gamma Ray Induced Polygenic Variability Studies in M1 and M2 Generations of Indian Mustard (Brassica juncea L. Czern and Coss)
Abstract: The experiment was carried out to study induced variability in three Indian mustard genotypes (i.e. CAULC-1, CAULC-2 and PM-25) using five gamma ray doses. Observations were recorded for 14 characters to test the biological effects of gamma ray in M1 generation. Out of the 14 characters studied, the characters seedling survival and pollen fertility were, in general, reduced with the increase gamma ray doses. While random effects of gamma rays …

Evaluation of NPSB Fertilizer Rate to Improve Wheat Productivity in Cheha and Yem Districts of Southern Ethiopia
Abstract: Wheat is one of the major cereal crops produced in Ethiopia for the purpose of both home consumption and market; however, its productivity is low due to limited knowledge on rate of fertilizer application, low availability of soil nutrients. Therefore, this research was conducted in 2018 to 2019 during the main cropping season to determine best fertilizer rate for better production of wheat. The experiment consists of eight treatments such …

Plant Tissue Culture: Conservation Techniques
Abstract: Agriculture, forestry, horticulture, and plant breeding have all made extensive use of plant tissue culture. It's a type of applied biotechnology that's utilized for things like plant mass propagation, viral eradication, secondary metabolite manufacturing, and in-vitro cloning. Tissue culture has increasingly been employed for short to medium term conserving, also known as slow development, and cryogenics, also known as long term conservation, of vulnerable species of plants. These techniques had …

Studies on Qualitative and Quantitative analysis of Phytochemicals from Petals and Leaves of Tagetes erecta
Abstract: Tagetes erecta is commonly known as marigold, herbaceous and perennial plant. It belongs to Asteraceae family. It is widely cultivated, and many cultivars are used as ornamental plants in gardens. Antioxidants are highly present in flowers. It's also used as a natural textile dye. It contains various phytochemicals and extracted with different solvents by qualitative and quantitative analysis. In this analysis different solvent extracts are used for estimation of phenolics, …
