A Study on Establishment of Phytochemical Analysis of Ethanolic Extract of Silybum Marianum (L.) Gaertn. (Milk Thistle) Seed Extract
Abstract: The fluorescence characteristics of seed powdered extracts were determined under UV radiation of long and short wavelengths and ordinary visible light. When the small-grained drug and extracts were treated with totally different reagents and determined below ultraviolet illumination UV actinic radiation normal light, they emitted various color radiations. The colour modification for the seed powder and individual extract were distinctive and consistent revealing the solvent properties to the phytoconstituents and …

Antioxidant Activities and Whitening Effects of Bougainvillea and Marigold Flower Extracts
Abstract: The objective of this study is to evaluate the potential of ethanol and aqueous extracts of bougainvillea (Bougainvillea hybrid) and marigold (Tageteserecta L.) flowers as source of cosmetic ingredients with antioxidant and anti-melanogenesis properties. Ethanolic extracts of the marigold flower showed high antioxidant activities according to our DPPH and ferrous metal chelating activities. Ethanolic extracts of the bougainvillea flower demonstrated high tyrosinase inhibitory effects and anti-melanogenesis activities equivalent to that …

Growth Potential and Effects of Leucaena leucocephala on Physicochemical Properties of Spent Engine Oil Polluted Soil
Abstract: Reclamation of spent engine oil (SEO) polluted soil is important for agricultural development in our environment. The greenhouse experiment was conducted for 16 weeks to investigate the potential of Leucaena leucocephala (LL) to survive in and improve the physicochemical properties in soil polluted with SEO at; 2.5%, 5%, 10% v/w and 0% served as the control. Plant height and girth were taken weekly and bulk density, porosity, pH, nitrogen, phosphorus, …

Physiochemical Mechanism Associated with Drought Tolerance in Tomato
Abstract: Abiotic stresses are one of the key limitations to global crop production and food security. Among the abiotic stresses, drought is one of the most vital factors that cause changes in morphological, biochemical, and physiological characteristics in plants, and consequently affects the growth and productivity of crops. The main purpose of the present study was to evaluate the effect of drought on physiological traits (ratio of root/shoot length, leaf area …

The Effect of Additional Additives and Amino Acids on the Axillary Shoot Micropropagation of Medicinal Plant Aegle Marmelos (Corr.) Linn.
Abstract: India is an immense medicinal plant repository, used in traditional medical treatments. The use of herbal medicine is growing day by day due to toxicity and allopathic drug effects. About 90 percent of the phytochemicals marketed come from wild resources and over 120 major phytochemistry come from plants. Aegle marmelos leaves contained π-sitosterol, aegelin, lupeol, rutin, marmesinine, flavone, glycoside, Oisopentenyl halfordiol, marmeline, and phenylethyl cinnamides. The additional growth promoters showing …
