Comparative analysis of low and high pressure water electrolysis using nuclear waste heat for sustainable hydrogen production in India
Abstract: Hydrogen has been proposed as a clean and sustainable vector of the decarbonized energy system of the near future. Generation of hydrogen gas from a relatively easily available resource like water through low temperature water electrolysis is a simple, technologically mature alternative for realizing the vision of hydrogen economy. This work examines the techno-economic feasibility aspects of a water electrolysis based hydrogen production plant when coupled with typical nuclear power …

Comparative Study of Corrosion Inhibition In Carbon Steel Using Non Ionic Surfactants In Acidic Medium
Abstract: The use of surfactants is one of the numerous ways of protecting a metallic surface from electrochemical oxidation or corrosion. The amphiphilic nature of these surfactants leads to the formation of a protective layer on the metallic surface, effectively minimizing the area of contact between the fluids and the metal, thus inhibiting corrosion. Cationic surfactant like CTAB (Cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) has been most commonly used as a corrosion inhibitor, but since …

Passive Capillary Flow of Dyed Aqueous Isopropyl Alcohol in the Leakage-Free SU-8 based Glass Microfluidic Devices
Abstract: In this work, total 2 individual SU-8 based glass microfluidic devices are fabricated by the maskless lithography and indirect bonding technique. The aqueous isopropyl alcohol (10% IPA, 90% dyed water) is prepared to test these fabricated devices. Each passive capillary flow is recorded by the CMOS camera catching 25 frames per second. This work will be useful in bioengineering applications. Keywords: Passive capillary flow, SU-8, Aqueous IPA, Microfluidic device

Experimental Studies on the Surface-Driven Capillary Flow of Water in Pristine and Processed Microfluidic Devices Fabricated by PMMA
Abstract: In this work, air dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma processing on pristine polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) flat surface is the chosen surface modification technique to vary the surface wettability creating a difference in microfluidic speed of dyed water. Straight microchannel of uniform width, microchannel with integrated micropillars on bottom wall, and microchannel bend are the proposed designs of PMMA microfluidic devices in this work. Each microfluidic flow of dyed water is recorded …

A PARAMETRIC ANALYSIS OF AMBIENT TEMPERATURE ON FLAT AND CURVED SURFACE OF A PV CELL
Abstract: This work focused on investigating and controlling the effect of ambient temperature on the surface temperature of a PV module. An experimental approach is carried out to provide ventilation on the surface of the PV panel with the help of a blower. With the increase in solar irradiance, the panel temperature also increases so experiment is conducted for different velocities of the air with the help of a blower to …
