Steel in Marine Weather
Abstract: Offshore structures of steel are reviewed after suitable application at onshore. Coat of stitch pad wet weld heat treat is subjected to improve the properties from high strength low alloy steel. Underwater welding with or without environment has modifications from the use of weld heat to heat treat, selection of electrodes containing silicates and polymer agglomerates to induce more heat of weld and penetration. Typical coat crack detect inswing from …

A Predictive Model on Pipeline Corrosion
Abstract: A comprehensive mathematical model is developed to predict corrosion rates in pipeline. The specimenused for this design is coupons (mild steel). Four containers with different solvents of 0.5 concentrationof nitric acids, 0.5 concentration of HCl, fresh water, and saltwater respectively were provided, andthe four paired coupons were placed inside the solvent for seven days. Each day, the coupons wereremoved, washed, dried, weighed, and placed back into the solvent. The result …

Performance Enhancement and Improvement of Energy Efficiency in Evacuated Tube Heat Pipe Collector with Nanocomposite: A Review
Abstract: Solar collector tube is used to combine incident energy and convert it into heat energy. Recently several studies have been done on improving the performance of the solar collector. Solar energy is clean energy and does not create pollution. The sun gives more power than we need. Solar collector consists of an absorber unit which transfers the heat energy of the sun to a working fluid. It is easily seen …

Polycarbonate/ABS Alloys: Production, Testing and Applications—An Overview
Abstract: The commercial production of polycarbonate (PC) began in 1958; the commercialization of the polycarbonate/ABS blends started in 1977. The incorporation of ABS to PC minimizes its drawbacks without altering its superior mechanical properties. Blending of PC and ABS also generates other useful characteristics i.e. glossiness and low temperature toughness. Blending of both the polymers is being carried out in a twin-screw extruder or in a common solvent like Tetrahydrofuran (THF).Nowadays …

Treatment of Oil Spills and Heavy Metals in Environment
Abstract: Treating oil spills and heavy metals is the problem of the old decades and continued to find technicalsolutions to address the problems of pollution with heavy metals and oil spills in sea waters as aresult of transporting oil in ships. In general, the health of all marine and terrestrial organisms aswell. This term usually refers to offshore oil spills, where oil is poured into the ocean or coastalwaters, but may …
