Response Surface Methodology in the Optimization of Biodiesel Production from Palm Kernel Oil and Cellobiose by Acid Catalysis in Non-solvent Medium
Abstract: Cellobiose, rich in hydroxyl (OH) functional groups was used in a solventless transesterification process with Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) to produce high-quality biodiesel and glycerol. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was used to examine the effect of reaction temperature, catalyst concentration, reaction time, and cellobiose: oil ratio to optimize the process parameters for highpurity and yield of consequent biodiesel. The process was an acid-catalyzed transesterification reacton of Palm Kernel Oil and …

Mathematical models in Predictive microbiology for food safety
Abstract: The study of predictive microbiology is predicated on the notion that populations of microorganisms react in a predictable manner to the conditions of their environment and that historical observations can be used to predict how populations will react in the future by looking at environments in terms of the dominant limitations they present. Predictive microbiology is a relatively new branch of the field of microbiology that has recently gained significant …

Green Audit
Abstract: The aim of this study is to investigate the feasibility of elevating the agricultural sector's productivity through the incorporation of cutting-edge technologies and novel farming practices. Achieving this objective requires a collective, flexible, and adaptive approach that encompasses a diverse array of actors and takes into account various factors, which extend beyond the typical domains of research and extension services. Agricultural Innovation Systems (AIS) can serve as a hub for …

Impact of Agriculture Production on Climate: Contributor and Victim
Abstract: The agriculture production is one of the major contributors in emission of Greenhouse gases (GHGs) emission, soil degradation, biodiversity losses and pollution and hence both contributor and victim to climate change. According to IPCC, Agriculture sector accounts to around 24 percent of total GHGs emission. The Impact on climate largely depends on the agricultural practices of scale of these farming/agricultural practices of farmers. As per consensus of IPCC, its already …

Human Health is Affected by Noise Pollution
Abstract: Noise pollution has a substantial negative impact on human health. Long-term exposure to loud noises can cause stress, hearing loss, sleep disruptions, and cardiovascular problems, among other health problems. Noise decreases productivity and hinders cognitive function by making it difficult to focus and communicate. It may also result in agitation, worry, and even help develop mental health issues. To lessen the negative impacts of noise pollution on human well-being, adequate …

Strengthening Forest Conservation with an IoT-Based Anti-Poaching Alarm System for Trees
Abstract: There are frequent incidents of theft of valuable trees, such as sandalwood, sagwan, and timber, worldwide. These trees are used in medicine, cosmetics, furniture, and more. To prevent such theft and protect the forests, preventive measures must be taken. Additionally, forest fires can cause significant damage to wildlife and trees, so it is crucial to control them quickly. To address these issues, a framework has been developed that utilizes three …
