2-D ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY TECHNIQUE FOR GROUNDWATER EXPLORATION IN IKERE – EKITI, NIGERIA
Abstract: The electrical resistivity techniques become one of the most widely used geophysical survey methods. Electrical resistivity method has been applied to various fields like groundwater and subsurface resource exploration. In the past, electrical resistivity was used in engineering, environmental and archaeological purposes. Its reliability depends on the expert interpretation skills of geophysicist. Applicable technique in groundwater exploration like electrical resistivity method which complement with existing conventional method will produce comprehensive …

Effects of Gate Oxide Thickness and Its Dielectric Strength in WS2 Based TMDFET
Abstract: This paper presents the numerical simulation of transition metal dichalcogenide based field effect transistor (TMDFET). Here we have studied the transfer characteristic, ION/IOFF ratio, subthreshold slope of TMDFET by varying oxide thickness and its dielectric strength dependence performance. The channel material used for field effect transistor is tungsten disulfide (WS2). To calculate the transfer (input) characteristics, we use Non Equilibrium Greens Function (NEGF). Results are achieved by solving the Poisson’s …

A Short Review on Surface Plasmon Polaritons (SPPs) and Its Applications
Abstract: A surface plasmon polariton (SPP) is a two-dimensional electromagnetic (EM) mode occurring at the interface of noble metals whose amplitude exponentially decay down to zero when going away from the boundary of the metal. In the last five decades, the investigation is done related to understanding of the excitation of SPPs and their interaction with the features related to the surface of metals. The dispersion of light from the nanostructured …

DOUBLE NEGATIVE MATERIALS: A REVIEW OF THE THEORY AND APPLICATIONS
Abstract: Metamaterials are falsely outlined materials having unusual properties. These are artificially designed materials not found in nature. The unusual properties such as negative permittivity and permeability of these artificial materials have been diverted the attention of many researchers towards the miniaturization of antennas and microwave devices. The potential applications of these materials such as optical cloaking, super lenses and many other applications have been attracted the attention of researchers. This …

Effect of Sulphamic acid on the growth of Glycine single crystals
Abstract: Sulphamic acid added glycine single crystals were grown successfully by slow-evaporation technique.A single crystal with well defined crystal was obtained. The lattice parameters and crystal system of the grown crystals were confirmed by single crystal and powder x-ray diffraction analysis. The functional groups present in the sample were identified by FTIR spectral analysis. The lower cut off wavelength and bandgap energy of the grown crystal was analysed from uv-vis spectral analysis. Keywords: …
