EFFECT OF ALGAE & COAGULANTS ON PHARMACUTICAL EFFLUENT CHARACTERSTICS
Abstract: Pharmaceutical industry effluents may contain many elements including calcium, magnesium, silica, chromium nickel, iron, cobalt, zinc etc. These heavy metals which are produced by the industrial waste are a big threat for the environment. They can also harm the ecosystem. In this study biochemical treatment of algae and coagulants was given to pharmaceutical industry effluent and reduction in polluting parameters was determined. It was observed that in the presence of …

A New Multidentate Fluorescent Chemosensor for metal ions: Synthesis and Fluorescence Response
Abstract: We report the synthesis and the fluorescence response to metal ions of a multidentate pyridyl-based ligand in MeCN/H2O (3/7) solution. The ligand was synthesided via overnight refluxing of a ethanolic mixture of 2,6-diamino pyridine and di(pyridine-2-yl)methanone. studies reveal the ligand display sensing response ability in the presence of certain metal ions. It display significant fluorescent quenching in the presence of Ni2+, Co2+, Zn2+ and Cd2+, with remarkable fluorescence “turn-off” response …

Assessment of Groundwater Quality Affected by Open Dumping Site in Hyderabad Pakistan
Abstract: The present study has been conducted to evaluate the different samples of groundwater, surface leachate and Soil, for the determination of chemical parameters of surface leachate and their effects on soil using X-Ray Fluorescence spectroscopic (XRF) technique. Samples were collected from the vicinity of unregulated dumping site area of Hyderabad, Pakistan. Different chemical and elements including essential trace and toxic were determined. The impact assessment of leachate on the quality …

IMAGING OF A FAR SURFACE OBJECT WITH HORIZONTAL LOOP ELECTROMAGNETIC INSTRUMENT
Abstract: An electromagnetic imaging instrument with variable voltage and frequency was designed and constructed to image a far surface metallic object. The methodology involved the transmitted voltage of 250V to the transmitter core with frequency of 300Hz. The liquid crystal display (LCD) module was used to display the computed voltage values after being processed by the microcontroller unit. The constructed instrument took measurement at horizontal profiling to 30m along the surface …
