Effect of Accelerated Curing and Normal Curing Regimes on UFGGBFS-Based Semi-Lightweight Concrete
Abstract: This paper deals with the performance of semi-lightweight concrete (sLWC), prepared by using calcite powder pellets as coarse aggregates which was improved by partial replacement of cement with UFGGBFS (ultrafine ground granulated blast-furnace slag). Cement could be replaced by UFGGBFS as 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, 50%, 55%, 60%, 65%, and 70% to enhance the strength and durability properties of concrete. High-range water-reducing admixtures (HRWA) …

An overview on the rheology of recycled aggregate concrete with the influence of chemical admixtures
Abstract: : Concrete is one of the most widely used construction material because of its property to be moulded into any kind of structure and shape due to its fluidity at early stages. The fresh properties of concrete can be characterized by its flow behaviour. Rheology is the scientific description of flow properties. Super-plasticizers and air-entrainers are some of the most used chemical admixtures that affect the rheological parameters of fresh …

Investigation of strength of concrete by replacement of sand with copper slag and cement with sugarcane bagasse ash
Abstract: This investigational study conducted to observe the potential of Sugarcane Bagasse Ash as a cement replacing material which is similar to that of Portland Pozzolana Cement and Copper slag as a fine aggregate replacement material. Seven different concrete mixes with the Bagasse Ash replacement to the Portland Pozzolana cement and copper slag replacement are (5% + 40%, 10% + 15% , 10% + 25% , 10% + 35% , 10% …

TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY OF SILICA FUME CONCRETE
Abstract: A suitable introduction of silica fume in concrete improves both the mechanical and chemical properties of the concrete. The long-live compressive strength of silica-fume concrete has been recently questioned by some researchers and they were regular in touch of it.This paper reports the results of compressive strength data on strength of silica which is on 4- to 6-year-old cores attained from well-documented field experiments which where both silica-fume and non-silica …

Effect of Steel Slag and Quarry Dust on the Flexural Strength of Concrete
Abstract: The effect of quarry dust and steel slag on the flexural strength of concrete has been experimentally studied and reported in this paper. Concrete used was prepared by replacing 75% of steel slag in replacement with sand and replacing cement by 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% with quarry dust. Also, conventional concrete was prepared as reference concrete for comparison. 100-mm cube and 100 mm × 100 mm × 500 mm …
