Analysis of the Degradation of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) in a Polluted Stagnant Salt and Fresh Water Environment
Abstract: TPH dispersion in both water media was investigated using a transport model that included convective and diffusion factors. This model was used to track the TPH concentration in both vertical and horizontal dimensions. Therefore, it was expected that diffusion alone would regulate TPH transport or spreading in the x-direction, or horizontal direction, while diffusion and convection caused by gravity would control TPH transport in the vertical direction. As a result, …

Treatment of Petroleum Hydrocarbon: The Concept of Dissolved Oxygen and Iron Characteristics using Adsorbent and Temperature Effect
Abstract: The treatment of petroleum hydrocarbon was monitored by considering the characteristics of dissolved oxygen and iron concentration on the impact of temperature variation on the performance of the adsorbent used. The research revealed that increase in the potential performance of the adsorbent in petroleum hydrocarbon removal enhanced variation in the characteristics of the dissolved oxygen and iron content in the packed bed unit for the treatment of water medium contaminated …

Temporal Monitoring of Drinking Water’s Quality for Adjustment of the Production Station: Case of Gagnoa Drinking Water Treatment Station, Ivory Coast
Abstract: The frequent refusal of local populations to consume tap water, despite the financial resources deployed by the State, constitutes a headache for managers who have to choose between customer satisfaction and the search for profits. The quality (chemical and organoleptic) of the water offered by the managers of drinking water networks is one of the causes of this refusal. The objective of this study is to use the Jar Test …

Crystal Growth, Synthesis and Characteristic Studies of Bismuth Doped Tristhioureazinc (II) Sulpate (ZTS) Crystal
Abstract: Potential semi organic tristhioureazinc(II) sulphate (ZTS), One of the best room temperature growth techniques for nonlinear optical materials with high SHG efficiency is slow evaporation solution growth, which produces pure and single crystals for use in laser technology and photonic applications. Single crystals Doping of Bismuth fluoride (equimolar) to ZTS is done during the crystallization process is further analysed by single crystal XRD which infers that the Bismuth doped ZTS …
