Studies on Phytochemical analysis of Areca Palm Leaves
Abstract: Areca palm plant is commonly known as Palm trees and belongs to the family Arecaceae. Probablyone of the best and frequently grown plant families is the palm family. Palm trees are cultivating in South America, South Pacific area, Southern Asia, and Arabic countries etc. The greatest number of palm species may exist in Colombia. Palms are used to make a wide variety of everyday goods and cuisines. This palm plant …

Comparison of Theoretical and Experimental Investigation of Suspened Solids Sedimentation Model in Stagnant Water Environment on Crude Oil Degradation
Abstract: In this investigation the developed model of Ukpaka’s, Stoker’s and Newton’s were compared with the determine values from the experimental data obtained in the suspended solid (TS) in a stagnant water environment. Theoretical and experimental data established in this research demonstrated a good match as well as the evaluated deviation error reveals acceptable range indicating the usefulness of these models in monitoring and predicting the TS sedimentation mechanism in crude …

Application of Hengstebeck's Model in Multicomponent Crude Oil Distillation Design
Abstract: Mathematical models were developed for the analysis of the Atmospheric Crude Distillation Unit of Port Harcourt Refinery in Nigeria. The resultant system of equations was solved using the method of matrix inversion using Mathlab software and the models predicted with reasonable accuracy composition of side draws (different fractions) and temperatures. Also, the effect of process parameters on the overall performance of the unit was studied. In addition, the study applied …

RECENT DEVELOPMENTS ON VOLATILE DEEP EUTECTIC SOLVENTS FOR APPLICATION IN CRYSTALLIZATION OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOUNDS.
Abstract: Crystallization is one of the most effective separations and purification methods used in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries. Volatile organic solvents are widely used in the crystallization of pharmaceutical compounds. Some properties of these solvents such as volatility, instability, combustibility, unpredictable nature, and toxicity are undesirable. In therecent years solvents known as ionic liquids and deepeutectic solvents (DES) derived from ionic liquidsgain importance due to the interesting properties as solvents. …

Mass Production and Isolation of Trichoderma harzianum from Different Media Using Liquid and Solid Fermentation Technique and Evolution against Fusarium oxysporum
Abstract: Mycelial growth conidal production and biomass yield of trichoderma species (Trichoderma harzianum) were examined on different culture media including potato dextrose media, waksman media, soyabean meal media, glucose peptone media, jaggery media, malt extract media, cornmeal media, czepaks media. A big factor in growth rate was the medium. The optimum medium in terms of growth spore generation and biomass output was soyabean meal media. For mycelial growth, biomass output, and …
