Mechanical Studies and Thermal Kinetics of Isoniazid Crystals
Abstract: Single crystals of isoniazid were crystallized by slow solvent evaporation method. The crystal structure was confirmed using single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Micro hardness was estimated and work hardening coefficient and Newtonian resistance pressure of the crystal were determined. Kinetic analysis of the thermogravimetric data was carried out by using Coats-Redfern relation. Activation energy, frequency factor and order of reaction were also calculated. Arrhenius equation for isoniazid is k=0.43×105e–79103/RT mol–1s–1. …

Design and Pinch Analysis of Styrene Production Process Using Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Energy Analyzer
Abstract: This paper presents the design and energy analysis of styrene production process. Process flow diagram is designed using Aspen HYSYS. Styrene product obtained is of purity 73% and further purity is recommended. Pinch analysis is applied to the process plant by using Aspen Energy Analyzer, as a part of that in the first step all the stream data is extracted, in the second step heat exchanger networks (HEN) is developed …

Development of Geo-Polymer based Light Weight Bricks
Abstract: Light weight geopolymer bricks were developed during this study. The mix was made with lime sodium silicate and fly ash as ingredients. A maximum shrinkage was observed at CaO lime ratio of 1.0. Bulk densities were also lower at the ratio of 1.0. The maximum cold crushing strength (CCS) value was found at the ratio of 0.745. Increase in mix water decreased the strength. Water content of 24% is recommended …

The Thermodynamic Studies of Derivative of Thiabendazole in 1, 4 Dioxane System in the Temperature Range 303 to 323 K
Abstract: Densities, viscosities of some derivatives of thiabendazole in 1, 4 dioxane were measured in the temperature range 303 to 323 K. The viscosity was determined by John-Dole equation. The data has been used to calculate thermodynamic parameters. G and H are negative and S is positive which indicate the spontaneity of reaction according to thermodynamics. Keyword: thermodynamic parameters, free energy change, enthalpy change, entropy change
