Recent Progress of Post-reactor and Reactor-made Polypropylene-based Thermoplastic Elastomers
Abstract: The global market for thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) is growing rapidly owing to the rising demand from the packaging, automotive, healthcare, construction, electrical, electronics and other sectors. Significant progress has been made in the last few decades in the development of different TPE. Polypropylene being low-cost, corrosion resistance, better mechanical properties and readilyavailable, has attracted several researchers to develop polypropylene based thermoplastic elastomers (PP-TPE). This review focuses on recent advancements in …

Development of Fly Ash Bricks Using Alccofine as Partial Replacement of Cement
Abstract: With the growing technology in bricks industry and urbanization there is lot of requirements of raw material. Due to the limited availability of non-renewable resources, it is imperative to use additional waste materials when producing bricks in order to protect these resources. To combat the problem of environmental contamination, waste materials like fly ash, silica fume, and blast furnace slag can be utilised in place of clay. So using fly …

The Potential Application of Walnut Shells as Biofillers for Natural Rubber Composites
Abstract: It was evaluated whether walnut shells should be used as filler in composites made of natural rubber. Samples of walnut shells were ground to fine powders, sieved through a 75 μm mesh, and were used in compounding natural rubber using varying filler loading of unfilled, 20 hpr, 30 hpr, 40 hpr, and 50 hpr. The physicochemical analysis results of the walnut shell powder were 5.30, 10.10%, 2.50%, 43.70%, 49.70 mg/g, …

Production of Paint Using Locally Sourced Materials
Abstract: In this research work, a prototype mixer was fabricated particularly for the purpose of this research in which paint production was carried out. For the processing, two formulations were used with the same composition but differs in extender pigment. Calcium carbonate was considered and used as an extender pigment which gives white coloured paint with titanium oxide as prime pigment. This was due to the colour of the periwinkle shell …

Mesomorphic Study of Achiral Hockey Stick- shaped Imine Linked Thiadiazole Compounds
Abstract: Achiral hockey stick-shaped molecules are a new extended set for calamitic rod-like liquid crystals, thiadiazole with Incorporation of a nitrogen linkage to the basic structures of a compound will acquaint another new property called photochromism along with liquid crystal because of the photo-isomerization of the -C=N linkage. Now, assuming such compounds also show the liquid crystalline property, then they will become multi-functional due to their photochromic property which might be taken …
