Impact of Sugarcane Molasses on Compressive Strength and Workability
Abstract: Molasses used as admixture increase the workability, it is a by-product of sugar industry. In this study, mechanical property such as compressive strength and workability of concrete adding fly ash and sugarcane molasses has been investigated. Adding the molasses in concrete increase the compressive strength, delay the initial and final setting time, reduced the bleeding and segregation of concrete and decrease the W/C ratio. The compressive strength test results showed …

Clash Detection in Appropriate Technology Building Using Building Information Modelling (BIM)
Abstract: Building Information modelling (BIM) is a highly efficient software in Architecture, Engineering and construction (AEC industry). Clash detection technique is used to minimize the error as well as to minimize the cost and time. Especially in 2D drawings, lots of problems emerges at the time of execution. One of the best tools used in this project is clash detection tool which coordinates the building system in 3D models. This clash …

Study on Rural Infrastructure availability and wellbeing in Karisalkulam Village
Abstract: Rural development is the process of developing rural areas through improving the quality of living for rural people. Development not only means technology and education but also gaining and accepting ability of culture to adopt the new era to compete with the outer world. The planning and strategies for rural development are mainly concerned with Gram Panchyats, schools, higher educational institutes, industries and labor needs. The aim of this study …

Determination of the optimum magnetic exposure time for magnetic water concrete
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of magnetic water on the workability and compressive strength of concrete, and also to find the optimum time for exposing water to magnetic field, for which maximum compressive strength of concrete will be achieved. In this research, water was exposed to magnetic field of 336mT per magnet for a duration of 12, 18, 24, 36, and 96 hours, after which …

A study on C, H and L type prismatic buildings for Synoptic wind flow.
Abstract: The atmospheric boundary layer can be defined as part of the troposphere at the lowest level which is influenced by the presence of the earth’s surface, and responds to surface forcing within a timescale of about an hour or less. The boundary layer depth might differ from hundreds of meters to a few kilometers. The wind that blows due to Atmospheric Boundary Layer is known as synoptic wind. Moreover, thunderstorms …
