Simulation Models for Flexural and Compressive Strength of Concrete Using Waste Glass as Partial Replacement.
Abstract: The research present the usefulness of waste glass in the production of grade 20 concrete using partial replacement levels of 0%, 20%, 40% and 60%, respectively, for coarse glass and fine glass to coarse aggregate and fine sand aggregate. The results obtained indicate that, for the purpose of construction works, 20% replacement should be adopted either for coarse glass or fine glass replacement. Simulation models were established to predict flexural …

EFFECT OF SUPERVISION ON PRODUCTIVITY OF CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA
Abstract: Poor supervision in the workplace has been identified to be among the primary obstacles to achieving potential successes by an organization. Insufficient direction is thought not only to be the major causes of revise but also resulted in low productivity, poor safety, lesser working conditions, and little quality of construction industry end product. Also lack of effective supervision is seen as an inevitable feature of the construction process which has …

Compressive Strength, Water Absorption and Temperature Effects on Partial Replacing Cement with GGBS, Micro Silica and Fly Ash
Abstract: Widespread research work for decades also in development throughout the globe in concrete technology in finding substitute materials which can incompletely change Pozzolonic Portland Cement (PPC) and which can also meet the necessities of the strength and durability performance of industrial by products like micro silica, ground granulated blast furnace slag, fly ash, etc. now termed as complimentary cementations materials (CCM) are quite promising. The increased quest for sustainable and …

Analysis and Design of Timber Box Beams Using Vlasov’s Theory
Abstract: ABSTRACT This study was done to derive/obtain the equation of equilibrium of a timber box beam made up of timber (anisotropic material) by using Vlasov’s theory and principle of minimum potential energy. A comparative analysis of the theoretical results obtained was done by the analysis of timber box beams using the development and the experimental results of the same box beams. The results obtained were found to co-relate even when …
