Regulation of Ca(OH)2 Concentration in the Hardening System “Gypsum Binder-Portland Cement” By Introducing Ash and Slag Additives when Producing Composite Gypsum Binders (CGB)
Abstract: This paper presents the results of the research and development of composite gypsum binders (CGB) based on technogenic raw materials in the form of ash and slag mixtures of fuel wastes, which reduces the consumption of Portland cement clinker up to 85% in comparison with traditional composite binders. The optimal compositions of the CGB are proposed. The impact of the type of mineral additives of technogenic origin and superplasticizer on …

Nano-Scale Fluid Mechanics: A Review
Abstract: This review article is mainly focused on microfluidics and nanofluidics. Nanofluidics is the subject to realise any nano-scale fluid mechanics governed inside the selected nanochannel. The surface-driven microfluidic flow of dyed water is experimentally demonstrated corresponding to one SU-8 based glass microfluidic device fabricated by maskless lithography and indirect bonding technique. This brief review may be helpful to establish the nanofluidic flow phenomena in future.

Inhibitors Used to Control Corrosion of Mild Steel in Crude Oil Recovery
Abstract: Industries first select construction materials on the basis of safety and cost-effectiveness. Physical requirements can be satisfied easily but corrosion effects seriously complicate the selection of suitable materials. The corrosion-mitigations can be enhanced by the coating of organic and inorganic substance but its costs must also be considered. The cost of material depends upon design and physical requirements of the material. The attractive facial appearance makes the material expensive. Initially …

Study on Preparation and Properties of Agro-waste Particleboard at Various Press Temperatures
Abstract: This study concerns the influence of temperature on changes in physical and mechanical properties of particleboard fabricated from betel nut (Areca catechu L) fiber (Agro-waste) and urea-formaldehyde adhesive during hot-pressing with multiple press temperatures (120, 130, 140, 150 and 160°C) at 15 minutes. The physical and mechanical properties of particleboards were determined by British Standard (BS-1811) and Indian Standard (IS-3087) Methods. For some physical and mechanical properties, it appears that …

Composite Materials-A Short Review
Abstract: The study on composite materials is truly multidisciplinary one. Researchers working in this field are of departments such as metallurgy, material science, chemistry, solid mechanics, and fracture and have made important contributions to the same. Composites can be created to meet specific geometrical, structural, mechanical, chemical, and even aesthetic requirements, depending on the intended application. Construction, such as in buildings and bridges, the automotive sector, aeronautics, naval (e.g., ships and …
