A Brief Discussion on Plastic Wastes Sortation Procedures
Abstract: Recycling plastic is the procedure of retrieving waste plastic products and reprocessing the material into similar or sometimes completely different form of products. As an example, melting down soft drink bottles, boxes and then casting them as plastic chairs and tables. According to the ImpEE project of University of Cambridge, 3 million tonnes of waste plastic were produced a year (2005) in UK and among those 21.3% are produced from …

Influence of Concentration Variation of Chemical Pre Treatments on Tensile Properties of Coir Fibre Reinforced Composites
Abstract: Composite material consisting randomly oriented coir fibres and epoxy resin have been studied. This study tends to analyze the tensile properties of coir fibre (10mm length) reinforced with epoxy resin by treating with Na0H and KMn04 of different concentrations. Fibers are bonded together with epoxy resin by hand layup process and cured at room temperature for 24 hours to form composite. Different tensile properties of composite were investigated in accordance …

A review on E-waste: National & International Scenario
Abstract: Electrical and electronic waste (e-waste) is one of the fastest growing municipal solid waste stream in the world. The existing management practices related to E-waste in most of countries are reasonably poor and have the potential to risk both human health and the environment. According to recent studies, only about 6 percent of the E-waste is recycled, of which 95 percent is recycled through the informal sector. E-waste recycling in …

Review on Gold Nanoparticles and Their Applications
Abstract: Gold nanoparticles are attention because of the outstanding properties (e.g., size and shape depending optical, electrical, and magnetic properties) which can be included into antimicrobial applications, biosensor materials, composite fibers, cryogenic superconducting materials, cosmetic products, and electronic components The properties of Au NPs are different from their bulk form due to the increased surface-to volume ratio determined by the assembly of the Au NPs and the inter-particle interaction. This review …

Development of Epoxy Based Hybrid Composite Reinforced with Jute and Glass-fiber and Effect of Silicon Carbide additive on it’s Mechanical Properties
Abstract: In this project, an effort is made to compare the improvement of the matrix material properties because of the presence of the fillers and additives. Initially, hand lay-up process was carried out in a mold of known dimensions to layup jute fibers of varying weight percentages in the epoxy matrix. Another composite with glass fibers of similar weight percentages to that of jute were laid up in epoxy matrix in …
