Toxicity Evaluation for accumulation of nanoparticles in biological system
Abstract: Recent years have seen an unprecedented growth in the field of nanotechnology. The application of nanotechnology has risen and now has become a technical necessity in almost every technical field be it medical, therapeutic, cosmetics, agriculture, forensic, defence and many more still to come. Nanotechnology in pharmaceutical application typically involves encapsulation of any drug in “Nano” sized carrier ranging from metallic, polymeric, quantum dots, silicon based, polymeric micelles, liposomes and …

A Brief Review on Optical Properties of Boron Carbon Oxy-Nitride: A Phosphor for Future Era
Abstract: Phosphors are generally inorganic materials which emit light when irradiated by different sources of energy. BCNO is an inorganic phosphor containing boron, carbon, nitrogen and oxygen which is mainly synthesized artificially. Quite lately, it has gained the reputation of being an inexpensive, non-toxic and Rare Earth (RE) ion free luminescence source, which can be used to generate white Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) with persistent luminescence properties; and for its versatile …

Zinc oxide/Chitosan biocompatible nanocomposites: Preparation, Characterization and its use in Congo red dye photodegradation
Abstract: Zinc oxide/chitosan biocompatible nanocomposites have been successfully synthesized by co-precipitation method. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), Energy dispersive X ray Flurescence spectroscopy (EDAX) and Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The photocatalytic efficiency and photostability of the sample was investigated systematically for Congo red degradation under solar light irradiation. UV-vis Spectroscopy was employed to investigate the optical properties and photocatalysis behavior of the Zinc …

Study and Simulation of Radiation Effects on MOS Structures through High Energy Ions
Abstract: MOS structures exposed to 305 MeV Kr and 710 MeV Bi ions irradiation with fluences of 109 cm 2 and 1010 cm 2 were investigated by capacitance measuring methods (C–V, C–t), completed by quasistatic low-frequency C–V and DLTS measurements. The irradiated MOS structures were functional in spite of a high density of radiation defects. The electric activity of the defects brought a sharp decrease in the generation parameters tr and …

Structural and Elastic Properties Calculation of CdX (X= S, Se, Te) Semiconductors from First-Principles
Abstract: First-principle calculations have been performed to calculate the structural and elastic properties of wurzite (wz) CdX(X= S, Se, Te) chalcogenides semiconductor using the plane wave pseudo-potential method within the projected augmented wave approximation (PAW),which works directly with full all electron (AE) wavefunctions and AE potentials. The values of lattice constant (a) and (c), internal parameter (u), Bulk modulus (B), and reduce pressure derivative bulk modulus ( ) using equation of …
