Macro-compounds and Macro-cycles with Their Applications
Abstract: Macro-compounds represent an ancient class of compounds that enter into coordination chemistry as a ligands such as (crown ethers, aza, thia and others), or in the field of organic chemistry through large cyclic compounds such as porphyrins, vitamins and others, where corona ethers are strongly linked with specific cations forming coordination complexes, In which the oxygen atoms occupy positions suitable for coordination with a cation located inside the ring, and …

Turn-On” Fluorescence Sensing of Bilirubin Using Water-Soluble Conjugated Polymer
Abstract: Early detection of bilirubin is important to detect jaundice and hepatitis disease at the early stage. Currently, there is no fast method available to detect bilirubin level directly in the presence of crucial interference. This report presents a novel water-soluble poly(fluorenes-alt-benzothiadiazole) for turnon sensing of bilirubin in water and human blood serum. The probe is the water-soluble conjugated polymer poly(fluorenes-alt-benzothiadiazole) functionalized with a D-glucuronic acid named PF-BTGlcA. D-glucuronic acid acts …

Mathematical Modelling of the Effect of Functional Parameters of Temperature on Biodegradation of Petroleum Hydrocarbons
Abstract: Mathematical model was developed to examine the effect of functional parameters of temperature on biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons. The developed model was related to Monod’s equation and the microbial growth rate was monitored, predicted and simulated with variation on the functional parameters. The result obtained revealed increase in the microbial growth rate with increase in the functional parameter values. The maximum specific microbial growth rate was constant as well as …

Ayurveda as an alternative Medicine for SARS-CoV
Abstract: The goal of this study was to look at the clinical evidence for complementary and alternative medicine treatments for major depressive disorder. The phrase depressive disorder was combined with St John’s wort, S-adenosylmethionine (SAM-e), exercise, acupuncture, omega-3 fatty acids, and folate in a PubMed search from January 1966 to February 2010. Only relevant human trials were selected. COVID-19, the current global health emergency, is not the first-time coronaviruses have posed …

Factors Attributed to Antimicrobial Activity of Honey and Its Analysis on Some Selected Microorganisms
Abstract: To summaries, we believe that honey is an intriguing and promising alternative to traditional antibiotics and that it should be taken more seriously as a therapeutic agent. Honey is widely regarded as the world's oldest medicine, and for good reason. Since time immemorial, it is believed to heal wounds along with antibiotic. The immunomodulatory present in it is also known to give proper wound healing. The antibiotic in many honeys …
