Empowering the Future: The Synergy of Edge Computing and 5G for Efficient and Secure IoT

Abstract

The combination of 5G wireless technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) has the potential to revolutionise the way we work and live by opening up a plethora of brand-new products and services. This paper explores the capabilities of 5G technology and how it can be leveraged to support IoT applications in various industries, including healthcare, transportation, and manufacturing. The paper also discusses the challenges and opportunities that arise from the combination of IoT and 5G, such as security concerns, network architecture, and scalability. The article also gives a summary of current research and development in the area and discusses the potential for IoT in 5G in the future. The study stresses the necessity for ongoing research and development in this area in order to enable the full realisation of the technology's advantages while also highlighting the huge potential of IoT in 5G.
