Abstract

Investigation was carried out to demonstrate the PID control mechanism of boiler using cascaded techniques to examine the tank temperature and the amplitude value of model developed without controller and model developed with controller. The influence of temperature was monitored and the effect examined with variation in amplitude. The obtained data from the investigation reveals the significant of temperature variation on the boiler control mechanism especially using Cascaded Proportional Integral Derivative (PID). Control of step input response concept was adopted in this research work and the result obtained demonstrates increases in tank temperature with increase in time. Finally, the investigation showcases, the application of Cascaded Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller using step input response mechanism to analyze temperature variation with increase in time.
