Study of the Fuel Injector Nozzle of the CI Engine

  1. Chanchal .

Abstract

A nozzle is a compounds present on all gas turbine engines. that produces thrust, redirects exhaust gases backinto the streaming site, and maintains mass flow rates. There are many various varieties of nozzles, butdivergent and convergent nozzles are the ones that are most normally utilized. The paper discussed variousfluids flowing at different velocities and convergent and divergent nozzle diameters. Thermal and chemicalenergy are transformed into kinetic using the nozzle. The component of an injector referred as the nozzle iswhere liquid fuel is shot into the combustion chamber. It is employed in diesel engines where air is taken into thecylinder during the suction stroke and separate fuel is fed through the injector at the conclusion of thecompression stroke. The combustion chamber's low speed, high pressure, and high temperature gas is transformed into highvelocity, lower pressure, and lower temperature gas by that of the nozzle.Nozzles regulate the stream that exits from them in terms of flow rate, speed, direction, mass, and pressure. Byusing the CFD technique,
