Abstract

This paper proposes a use on development of technologies of Power Electronics for the generation of high power using wind turbine system. Amid the most recent two decades Power Electronics assumes an imperative part in numerous mechanical applications for the era of force from 1 to 10 kW power. Presently a-days there are new up and coming advancements in force hardware which gives high proficiency, better unwavering quality and great handling rate with less time utilization. In recent days there is widespread use of wind turbines in the transmission and distribution system. As the grid connection and power level of the wind turbines are expanding, there is a prerequisite to make progresses in the generators, power electronics systems and control answers for the change of qualities of the power plant and make it more appropriate to be coordinated into power grid. The switching necessity in this use contains less power utilization which is nil but Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) as it was being supplanted by Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) for better controlling operations. As the plant's attributes are being enhanced then we have to confront the difficulties in the innovations. Here is a paper which gives a review and talks about the creating patterns of the innovation in wind power systems. Keywords: doubly fed induction generators, insulated gate bipolar transistor, Generator and motors, silicon controlled rectifier
