Abstract

Storage reservoirs and overhead tank square measure is used to store water, liquid crude oil, crude oil product and similar liquids. The force analysis of the water tanks is regarding identical regardless of the chemical nature of the merchandise. This paper presents a constant study regarding behavior and style of overhead Rectangular concrete tank subjected to static loading conditions with special stress on IS:3370. The result of the various tank ratio, end condition for same capability is reviewed and thought of within the Analysis and style. Ground-supported rectangular tanks area unit accustomed store a range of liquids. Throughout earthquake activity the liquid exerts impulsive and convective pressures on the walls and bottom of the oblong tank. This paper provides calculative background for calculative pressures developed throughout an earthquake in rectangular instrumentality.
