Abstract: The objective of this project is to identify a synthetic fiber to enhance the shear strength and bearing capacity of a cohesive soil. This study includes investigation of the reinforced soil and determination of the optimum reinforcement in terms of fiber’s content and length by conducting Proctor Density Test and Direct Shear Test.
