Abstract: The polymeric nanoparticles (PNPs) are prepared from biocompatible and biodegradable polymers such as chitosan, gelatin, sodium alginate and albumin in size between 10-1000 nm where the drug is dissolved, entrapped, encapsulated or attached to a nanoparticle matrix. Their nanometer-size promotes effective permeation through cell membranes and stability in the blood stream.
