Preparation of Beta Lactam Compounds and Study of Thermodynamically BehaviorBy Sari Muhamad Saman
Abstract: Several Lactam derivatives have been prepared by condensation reaction of folic acid with (4-chloroacetophenone and 4-hydroxyacetophenone) in ethanol. Then the resultant compounds (1,2) react with another Schiff bases by reacting of 4- bromobenzaldehyde with an amino acid (Phenylalanine, Tryptophan, Tyrosine and Histidine) to give bis-β-lactam rings.
